DETOUR

Dakei Entertainment: Production Sound Recordist and Sound Designer

Created in Rarotonga during Film Raro2’s 2025 Pacific Paradise Film Challenge, Detour is a Pacific science-fiction short centred on a teenage girl whose unusual relationship with time becomes part of how she supports her family and village. The production brought Cook Islands performers and crew together with a Fiji-led team in an intensive shoot, edit and premiere process.

THE FEEDING

Dakei Entertainment: Production Sound Recordist and Sound Designer

The Feeding is a Fijian horror short by writer-director Adi Tulia Nacola. Developed through a Fiji Film Collective script initiative with professional production support, the film uses psychological tension, mystery and a dark secret within a mother-and-son relationship to explore family, fear and what remains unspoken.

DAUNITUKUTUKU

Dakei Entertainment: Sound Designer

Set in early-1800s Fiji, Daunitukutuku follows Kaliti, a young woman chosen to carry a warning and seek help as her village faces an approaching attack. Written, directed and produced by Tumeli (Meli) Tuqota, the 14-minute drama places iTaukei culture, landscape and language at the centre of an action story rooted in Fiji’s past.

UNOFFICIAL HISTORY OF COLONISATION FIJI

Unofficial History of Colonisation Fiji is a local Fiji film project by Caleb Young. Dakei Entertainment's involvement was in post-production, covering sound design, Foley and score. Young is a Fijian director and producer behind Young Productions Fiji, with work developed through Film Fiji's Script Development and Producers Accelerator programmes and a growing slate of locally made films. His production work and film projects can also be explored through Young Productions Fiji.
